ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA — Digital travel platform Agoda and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) have launched the fifth edition of Eco Deals, marking five years of conservation collaboration across Asia.

The 2026 program continues a USD 1.5 million funding commitment to support conservation efforts in 10 Asian markets, including Indonesia.

The launch also coincides with the signing of a new five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), further strengthening the partnership between Agoda and WWF to advance conservation initiatives, raise traveler awareness, and encourage greater industry engagement in sustainable tourism across the region.

Launched on January 19, Eco Deals 2026 begins with a one-month campaign offering discounts of up to 20% on participating accommodations to commemorate the program’s fifth anniversary. The initiative will then continue throughout the year, providing discounts of up to 15% for travelers until December 18.

Throughout the campaign, travelers can easily identify participating accommodations via a dedicated Eco Deals page and in-platform identifiers on Agoda.

As in previous editions, Agoda will donate USD 1 to WWF’s conservation efforts for every completed booking made at participating properties.

Eco Deals enables accommodation partners to actively support conservation initiatives across Asian destinations, contributing to environmental protection and biodiversity preservation.

In 2025, the program continued to expand regionally, with participation reaching approximately 10,000 accommodations.

Since its launch in 2022, Eco Deals has raised USD 2.89 million for conservation projects, supporting initiatives such as the protection of Malayan Tigers in Malaysia, Asian Elephants in Thailand, Whale Sharks in the Philippines, and Sumatran Tigers in Indonesia.

These efforts contribute to the 30×30 target under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, which aims to protect 30% of the world’s land and oceans by 2030.

Participating partners will receive an Eco Deals badge to signify their support for nature and wildlife protection in Asia. They will also benefit from marketing support on the Agoda platform, including targeted promotional placements, customer communications, social media features, and in-app visibility.

Eco Deals accommodations will be showcased on dedicated pages across Agoda’s desktop and mobile platforms, helping travelers easily discover and support properties whose bookings contribute directly to conservation efforts. Upon completion of the program, partners will receive a certificate of participation.

“Eco Deals reflects five years of collaboration with WWF to support conservation across Asia, together with our growing network of accommodation partners,” said Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President, Supply, Agoda on January 21, 2026.

“The signing of this new five-year MoU underscores our shared commitment to conservation and long-term industry collaboration.

Over the past year, participation has grown by more than 45%, with particularly strong momentum in markets such as Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia.

“What makes Eco Deals especially meaningful is seeing how it enables hotels to connect with sustainability-conscious travelers while contributing to conservation efforts across Asia.”

“Nature is the foundation of life for both people and wildlife,” said Hsieh Fu Hua, Director, WWF-Singapore.

“Eco Deals demonstrates how the tourism industry can directly contribute to positive outcomes for nature while creating value for travelers and destinations alike.

“Through cross-market collaboration and a broad stakeholder network, this partnership helps link local conservation priorities with regional coordination to protect nature today and for generations to come.”

With its global accommodation network and travel offerings, Agoda continues to work closely with partners to support responsible travel and conservation initiatives across the region.

Together with WWF, Agoda invites hotel partners to participate in Eco Deals 2026 and contribute to conservation initiatives throughout Asia. (AT Network)
