ASIATODAY.ID, BALI — The Government of Indonesia, through the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, continues to take strategic steps to build an inclusive and globally competitive digital ecosystem—one where every talent has the opportunity to grow, innovate, and contribute to Indonesia’s expanding digital economy.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria emphasized that cross-sector collaboration is a key foundation for creating a sustainable national digital ecosystem.
“Collaboration is one of the key words we discussed here. These are points we can connect to strengthen our digital ecosystem and expand the number of digital talents needed,” Nezar said after visiting the Apple Developer Academy in Badung, Bali, on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Nezar also highlighted potential collaborations between Apple and Komdigi through programs such as the AI Talent Factory in Malang and Garuda Spark, managed by the Directorate General of Digital Ecosystem.
According to him, these initiatives can create an integrated talent development pathway from local to global levels.
“These programs can be interconnected. We aim to create a tiered pathway for digital talent development, ensuring young Indonesians can learn, innovate, and contribute globally,” he explained.»
Nezar noted that initiatives like the Apple Developer Academy exemplify how governments and global tech leaders can co-develop future-oriented vocational education models for the digital era.
“Investments like this give young Indonesians access to global experiences without having to go abroad. They learn, innovate, and become ready to compete on the world stage,” Nezar added.
The Deputy Minister further described the Apple Developer Academy in Bali as a living example of Indonesia’s growing role in the global digital ecosystem. The academy serves as a platform for young Indonesians to hone their skills and build international networks.
“The academy in Bali is special because it functions as an international hub. Participants come not only from Indonesia but also from other countries, allowing our youth to engage and learn at a global standard,” he said.
With strong institutional partnerships and global collaboration, Bali is now recognized not only as a world tourism destination but also as a thriving hub for digital innovation and talent, driving Indonesia’s transformation toward a competitive digital economy. (AT Network)
