BRI Ventures Wins “Best Investor on Impact Investment” at the 2025 ESG Award by KEHATI. Special

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – BRI Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), proudly announces its recognition as Best Investor on Impact Investment at the 2025 ESG Award by KEHATI, held on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

This award is a testament to BRI Ventures’ consistent commitment to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its investment strategy and portfolio development.

Since its founding in 2019, BRI Ventures has embedded impact as a core part of its investment philosophy. As the CVC of one of Indonesia’s largest banks, BRI Ventures began its impact journey by strengthening governance practices, then expanded to social aspects such as financial inclusion through accelerator programs, and environmental initiatives through investments in sustainable agriculture, waste management, and the circular economy.

As of December 2024, a significant portion of BRI Ventures’ portfolio has been allocated to impact-driven startups. BRI Ventures also launched the Sembrani Impact Accelerator in collaboration with ANGIN, supporting 14 socially impactful startups across Indonesia with funding, mentorship, and access to corporate partners.

“As a venture capital company under the supervision of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), we have always placed good corporate governance as a fundamental pillar of our business. For us, ESG is not just an additional strategy—it is fully integrated into our investment and portfolio development processes. This approach enables the creation of sustainable business models that deliver not only financial returns but also generate meaningful impact for the environment, society, and the future of our planet,” said Markus L Rahardja, Acting President Director of BRI Ventures.

BRI Ventures has also published its 2024 Impact Report, documenting the portfolio’s contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This award from Yayasan KEHATI, a leading institution in biodiversity and sustainable investment, serves as further motivation for BRI Ventures to strengthen its role as a leading impact investor in Indonesia’s startup ecosystem and digital economy.
