ASIATODAY.ID, MAKASSAR – PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria Corp) has reaffirmed its position as one of Indonesia’s key economic pillars after being named the largest taxpayer under the Makassar Large Tax Office (KPP Madya Makassar), which covers South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi (Sulselbartra).

The award was presented during the Public Consultation Forum (FKP) on Tax Services held by the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) Sulselbartra in collaboration with KPP Madya Makassar at the Phinisi Hall on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

This achievement underscores Ceria Corp’s role in strengthening Indonesia’s fiscal foundations and supporting the national development agenda outlined in President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita, especially regarding sound fiscal governance, effective public administration, and equitable economic growth.

Strong Contribution to the Asta Cita Agenda

YFR Hermiyana, Head of the DJP Sulselbartra Regional Office, expressed appreciation to all taxpayers who continue to demonstrate strong fiscal compliance.

“This award reflects DJP’s appreciation for the active contribution of taxpayers. We hope it motivates the business community to continue supporting national development,” he said.

The DJP emphasized that a strong taxation performance remains the backbone of Indonesia’s transformation agenda—supporting economic restructuring, balanced regional development, and improved public welfare in line with the priorities of Asta Cita.

FKP: Strengthening Modern and Transparent Public Services

The Public Consultation Forum serves as an important platform for improving the quality of tax services, as mandated by Law Number 25/2009 on Public Services. Through this dialogue forum, DJP expands public participation, enhances transparency, and accelerates bureaucratic reform in line with Asta Cita’s commitment to modern and accountable governance.

Ceria Corp, Nickel Downstreaming, and National Economic Transformation

Ceria Corp’s contribution extends far beyond tax payments. As one of Indonesia’s leading nickel downstreaming companies, its role is central to:

1. Strengthening state revenue, and

2. Accelerating industrialization through modern smelter development that supports Indonesia’s transformation into an advanced economy.

Based in Wolo District, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, Ceria Corp stands as one of the most prominent examples of successful mineral downstreaming. The company—classified as a Domestic Investment (PMDN) entity—manages a 6,785-hectare mining concession (IUP) and has completed the construction of the Merah Putih Smelter, which utilizes Rectangular Rotary Kiln Electric Furnace (RKEF) technology—the largest of its kind in Indonesia.

The state-of-the-art smelter began commercial production of Ferronickel (FeNi) in late April 2025, featuring a low-carbon footprint thanks to the use of green electricity—fully aligned with Indonesia’s national green economy direction.

Looking ahead, Ceria Corp plans to advance deeper into the value chain by producing nickel sulfate, cobalt sulfate, and battery precursors, all of which are crucial materials for the global electric vehicle industry.

Beyond industrial performance, Ceria Corp contributes to the region through robust community development programs. The company actively supports local MSMEs, provides educational scholarships, and prioritizes local hiring from Kolaka Regency for smelter construction and operations.

A Model of Synergy for National Growth

Ceria Corp’s blend of fiscal strength, downstream industrial capacity, and community engagement reflects the strategic role of the private sector in advancing Indonesia’s economic transformation agenda under Asta Cita.

The synergy between government institutions and the business sector in Sulselbartra is expected to become a national model—demonstrating how transparent, effective, and growth-oriented tax ecosystems can accelerate sustainable economic development across Indonesia. (AT Network)
