ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Council for Creative Economy and Film (DEKRAFMI) has expressed strong appreciation for the outstanding achievements of the Ministry of Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia under the leadership of Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya.

Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya emphasized that the ministry has become one of Indonesia’s new growth engines, driving innovation and productivity from local regions. The sector’s impact has been seen across multiple indicators, including GDP contribution, export growth, investment realization, and job creation.

“In the past year, Indonesia’s creative economy has shown tangible contributions to national growth. For 2025, we are targeting export values of US$26.44 billion, an increase of US$1 billion compared to last year,” Minister Teuku Riefky stated in Jakarta, October 22, 2025.

According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the creative economy contributed more than 9 percent of total national exports throughout 2024. By mid-2025, exports had reached US$13 billion (around Rp215 trillion), achieving 50 percent of the annual target. This performance underscores the rising strength of innovation-driven economic growth across diverse creative subsectors.

Creative Economy Investment Surges Significantly

In addition to exports, investment in the creative economy sector has also grown rapidly. By mid-2025, total investment in the sector reached Rp90.12 trillion, representing 66 percent of the national target and contributing 9 percent to total realized investments nationwide.

“The surge in investment within the creative economy sector is truly impressive. It shows that the ministry’s programs are effectively on target,” said Angelique Verina, Chairperson of DEKRAFMI, accompanied by Ainal Mubaraq, Secretary General of the organization.

DEKRAFMI to Continue Supporting the Ministry’s Programs

Angelique reaffirmed DEKRAFMI’s commitment to working hand in hand with the Ministry of Creative Economy to strengthen the national creative ecosystem and empower creative entrepreneurs across Indonesia.

“We deeply appreciate the ministry’s hard work and vision. DEKRAFMI will continue to support its programs and initiatives to build a more resilient and globally competitive creative economy,” she concluded. (Silvia Andriani)
