ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Ed Sheeran, singer from England is ready to hold a concert on Saturday, March 2 2024 at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Indonesia.
Initially, Ed Sheeran’s concert was planned to be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium but had to move to JIS. Apart from preparing for the Indonesia vs Vietnam national team football match, it was also carried out to present the sensation of the iconic 360 degree stage which is a global standard for Ed Sheeran.
“This was a last minute move to JIS. Of course this allows for an iconic 360 degree stage sensation,” said the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno on Monday, February 26 2024.
Regarding preparations for the concert, Co-Founder and COO of PK Entertainment, Harry Sudarma, said that despite facing challenges due to a change of location, so far the advance crew has started to arrive and the 360 degree concept stage has been built since last week.
“Iconic for this series of tours globally. This concert will not be inferior to other countries, it will remain iconic and of course this is the first time this 360 degree stage has been present at JIS,” continued Sandiaga.
To ensure smooth access for spectators to and from JIS, Hary added, his party is also collaborating with various parties such as JIExpo and Ancol to provide additional parking areas. Apart from that, there will be 75 shuttle units from JIExpo and 50 shuttle units from GBK
“So indeed, for buyers who have purchased tickets before the announcement of the venue change and have already booked hotels near GBK and others, we provide a shuttle from GBK and we collaborate with Blue Bird, to provide promotions so that they can commute more comfortably and the JPO is also at JIS from Ancol activated,” explained Hary.
For Ed Sheeran’s concert, the promoter is targeting around 50 thousand spectators. (ATN)
