ASIATODAY.ID, BANYUWANGI – This year’s world cycling championship entitled International Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen (ITdBI) is being held again.
ITdBI, which is included in 79 events on the 2024 Banyuwangi Festival (B-Fest) event calendar, will be held again on 22-25 July 2024. This event was absent for four years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
ITdBI, which is one of the most awaited events for the people of Banyuwangi, provides sports tourism attractions. Apart from that, this event which presents world-class racers is able to have a social and economic effect on society.
“There have been many requests for the Banyuwangi Ijen Tour to be held again, so we decided to hold it this year. The curators have selected the events to be included in the 2024 B-Fest calendar,” said the Regent of Banyuwangi, Ipuk Fiestiandiani in a written statement quoted on Saturday. March 16, 2024.

A total of 79 national to international scale events will be an attractive offering for tourists throughout this year. Apart from ITdBI, several classy events will also enliven this year’s B-Fest.
A number of festivals include the Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival 9-14 July, Gandrung Sewu 24-26 October, Jazz Festival 24 August, and the Kebo-keboan tradition which will be held on 21 July.
Gandrung Sewu and BEC is an agenda that is included in the National Event Calendar agenda of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
Ipuk said that the 79 selected events came from many proposals by various parties selected by the curator team.
“Every month, there will be dozens of interesting events that will be held in Banyuwangi. This will be the main attraction for tourists from within and outside the country,” said Ipuk.
Ipuk hopes that the International Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen and all B-Fest events this year will encourage economic improvement for Banyuwangi residents.
Apart from that, according to Ipuk, B-Fest has become a consolidation tool for the Banyuwangi community. (AT Network)
