The launch was marked by the gift of the Jababeka Movieland catalog book from the Chairman of the Steering Committee, Arief Yahya, to the Chairman of the Indonesian Film Agency, Gunawan Paggaru. Founder and Chairman of PT Jababeka Tbk Setyono Djuandi Darmono, said, Indonesia Movieland is not just a theme park like Universal Studio in the United States (US), whose main goal is to attract tourists.

“Indonesia Movieland is more than that, it is the center of the creative film and television industry. “It is hoped that from here reliable filmmakers will be born who are able to produce quality films that can fill the domestic and foreign markets,” said Setyono Djuandi Darmono, quoted on Sunday, March 3 2024.

Darmono revealed that investment in developing this area reached IDR 3.6 trillion.

Meanwhile, the catalog launch event was attended by around 50 participants from film and television employees from various production houses and went smoothly.

In this event, participants not only received information on the set catalog of filming locations, but also got to experience and see directly the Jababeka Movieland filming locations through a set tour agenda which took place at the end of the event.

Darmono said the aim of the filming location set catalog was to introduce various shooting locations at Jababeka Movieland.

“The launch of this catalog proves that all the shooting location needs for feature films, series and various television programs are available at Jababeka Movieland,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Film Agency Gunawan Paggaru expressed his appreciation to Jababeka Movieland for the launch of the filming location set catalogue.

According to him, this is an important step in developing Jababeka Movieland as a center for the integrated film and television industry in Indonesia. The reason is that the film ecosystem which is not yet integrated is an obstacle for the film-TV industry, and with the presence of this filming location set catalog, it becomes capital for a better film-TV industry and makes it easier for Jababeka Movieland to explore collaboration with the central government and stakeholders, especially production house in making film or television projects.

“We will also help (promote) the Jababeka Movieland shooting location set catalog by displaying a special page on our website,” said Gunawan Pagarru. (AT Network)
