ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The 2024 Jakarta International Marathon (JAKIM) is ready to be held on Sunday, June 23 2024.
JAKIM 2024 is also being held to celebrate Jakarta’s 497th birthday, as well as increasing the role of the city of Jakarta as a sports tourism city.
This event competes in three categories, namely Marathon (42.195 kilometers), Half Marathon (21.0975 kilometers), and 10 kilometers. The Marathon category will start at 04.00 WIB, followed by the Half Marathon at 05.15 WIB and 10 kilometers at 06.15 WIB.
A total of 36 roads will be closed during JAKIM 2024.
The organizers are targeting participants taking part in the JAKIM 2024 to reach 15,000 runners, both domestic and foreign.
“This is a fairly large scale event for the city of Jakarta, with participants targeted to reach around 15,000 runners both domestic and foreign,” said BTN JAKIM 2024 Race Director Satrio Guardian in an official statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 18 2024.
The JAKIM event will offer a challenging and fascinating running experience with a route that passes through beautiful views typical of the metropolitan city of Jakarta. (ATN)
