ASIATODAY.ID, SURABAYA — Kana Cooperative celebrated its 3rd anniversary under the theme “Celebrating 3rd Years of Kana” from April 30 to May 2, 2026.
The milestone served as a moment of reflection on the cooperative’s three-year journey, while also reinforcing member loyalty, the legacy of shared values, and a more adaptive governance framework.
Kana Cooperative Chairman, Jonathan Danang Wardhana, stated that the 3rd anniversary marks an important point to revisit achievements, challenges, and the core values that have been built collectively since its establishment.

“This 3rd anniversary is a reminder that Kana Cooperative’s journey does not stop here. The first three years are the foundation for continued growth, strengthening solidarity, and building an organization that delivers greater value to its members,” Jonathan said.
The anniversary celebration was not merely ceremonial. Kana Cooperative also a series of member empowerment initiatives, ranging from personal development and leadership programs to award sessions recognizing members’ contributions throughout the cooperative’s journey.
As part of the event, Kana Cooperative invited James Martua Purba, a cooperative advocate known for actively promoting modernization and digitalization within Indonesia’s cooperative sector.

His presence provided fresh insights for members on the importance of organizational readiness in facing evolving challenges, particularly in building more adaptive and relevant governance systems.
Over the past three years, Kana Cooperative has worked to build an institution grounded in solidarity, mutual cooperation, and member trust. These values have served as the foundation for maintaining cohesion while strengthening the cooperative’s growth trajectory.
Kana Cooperative acknowledges that building a sustainable institution comes with various challenges—from maintaining member trust and strengthening governance to adapting to continuously evolving needs. However, these challenges are seen as part of a natural maturation process.
Through this 3rd anniversary celebration, Kana Cooperative reaffirmed that every member’s contribution forms part of a lasting legacy—one that is carried forward through commitment, loyalty, and a spirit of togetherness.
Looking ahead, Kana Cooperative hopes this three-year milestone will inspire all members to remain actively engaged.
By strengthening loyalty, preserving shared values, and promoting adaptive governance, the cooperative aims to enter its next phase of growth with a stronger and more mature foundation. (Silvia Andriani)
