ASIATODAY.ID, SURABAYA – At the vibrant Surabaya Marketing Week 2025, Kana Cooperative was honored with the Entrepreneurial Marketing Corporate for Impact 2025 Award, presented by the Markplus Institute at the Sheraton Hotel Surabaya, August 28, 2025.
The award marks a significant milestone for Kana Cooperative, with Chairman Jonathan Danang Wardhana proudly receiving the recognition alongside the company’s management team.

The award was presented by Hermawan Kartajaya, Founder and Chairman of Markplus, who praised Kana Cooperative for its innovation and strong social impact.
According to him, Kana Cooperative has successfully leveraged technology and entrepreneurial-based marketing strategies to deliver significant contributions—not only in the economic sector but also in empowering local communities.
The award reflects Kana Cooperative’s dedication to running a business model that emphasizes sustainability and broad social impact.
Alongside the recognition, Kana Cooperative also announced preparations for a new initiative called Koperasi Manis, aimed at strengthening the distribution network of refined sugar in Indonesia.
The program will involve local cooperatives, particularly Koperasi Merah Putih, as the primary suppliers and distributors. Through this initiative, Kana Cooperative seeks to provide affordable, high-quality food distribution while empowering cooperatives across regions.
By integrating artificial intelligence (AI), Kana Cooperative plans to enhance distribution efficiency, monitor product quality, and analyze market trends to ensure products remain competitive and responsive to consumer demand.
As part of Surabaya Marketing Week 2025, Iliona Palomitta, Director of PT Kana Indonesia Industri— a subsidiary of Kana Cooperative—also joined as a panelist in the Breakout Session: New Brand Management with AI.
Iliona elaborated on how AI can be utilized to manage brands and strengthen digital marketing, which has become increasingly crucial in today’s interconnected world.
She added, “AI enables us to accelerate decision-making and deliver more personalized customer experiences. This is a strategic move for us to stay relevant and continuously adapt to the evolving business landscape.”
