ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA — President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto departed for Sydney, Australia, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 to carry out a one-day state visit. The President left shortly after chairing a limited cabinet meeting at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta.
The Presidential aircraft took off for Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport at around 11:55 a.m. local time.
During the visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to sign several strategic cooperation agreements with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, underscoring the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two neighboring nations.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya emphasized that this short visit holds significant importance for advancing the Indonesia–Australia comprehensive strategic partnership.
“During the one-day visit, the President will hold a tête-à-tête meeting with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and attend an official state ceremony led by Australia’s Governor-General, Sam Mostyn,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy said in a written statement.
In addition to the bilateral meeting, President Prabowo will also attend several discussions on trade, investment, education, and industrial cooperation.
According to Secretary Teddy, this visit also serves as a reciprocal gesture following Prime Minister Albanese’s trip to Jakarta in May, a day after his re-election as Australia’s head of government.
Accompanying President Prabowo on the flight to Sydney were Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. (AT Network)
