Sweden Explores Investment Opportunities in Batam

ASIATODAY.ID, BATAM – Sweden is starting to explore promising investment opportunities in Batam.

As a first step, the Swedish Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Daniel Blockert and his entourage visited the Batam Business Agency (BP), Tuesday (24/10/2023).

During the visit, he was welcomed by the Head of BP Batam, Muhammad Rudi; Deputy Head of BP Batam, Purwiyanto; Member for Strategic Policy, Enoh Suharto Pranoto and Member for Business, Wan Darussalam.

“This visit is our basis for finding out more in exploring opportunities for economic cooperation in Batam,” said Daniel.

He also stated that he was very happy with the presentation presented by BP Batam. His party is starting to be interested in exploring investment opportunities in the health, renewable energy, manufacturing and waste management sectors.

“I think this sector is the most interesting. “Where we feel that we can work together, especially as Batam has a very strategic location, because Batam is a Free Trade Zone area and has many industrial areas and qualified facilities,” said Daniel.

Head of BP Batam, Muhammad Rudi welcomed the exploration of investment opportunities from the Swedish Embassy.

On this occasion, Rudi explained several investment projects that were being implemented, including infrastructure, renewable energy and the health sector.

“We hope that their interests, such as renewable energy, LRT, manufacturing and health, can be realized. “BP Batam is ready to support and facilitate this investment effort,” said Rudi.

During this visit, Ambassador Daniel Blockert and his delegation will be in Batam City for three days. While in Batam City, he will visit a number of companies.

It is hoped that the visit of the Swedish Ambassador will bring great hopes for strengthening economic cooperation between Indonesia and Sweden. So that investment opportunities are opened that will bring benefits to the people of Batam City. (AT Network)
