ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – World tourists have their own assessment of which countries are the most enjoyable to visit. Which countries are those?
Reporting from Time Out, a survey conducted by Conde Nast Traveler, 526,518 respondents declared the best country in the world to visit.
In 2024, Japan will receive the title of the best country in the world. This island nation was recently named the fastest growing destination among Gen Z tourists.
Japan itself is a country famous for its cherry blossoms, distinctive Shinto shrines and futuristic cities. Not to mention hot springs, mountains, beaches and thousands of islands. Recently, the country has also introduced a number of measures to better manage tourism. Japan will also soon launch a digital nomad visa.
Italy managed to occupy second place after Japan. The country is full of stunning cities like Milan, Rome, and Florence. There are also endless beaches, islands and beautiful places.
Just like Japan, Italy is making efforts to suppress excessive tourism. One initiative is a series of vintage train routes that will transport tourists to some of the country’s lesser-known rural destinations.
Meanwhile, Europe dominates this list, with Greece and Ireland taking third and fourth place.
