ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesia is ready to hold the 2023 Aquabike Jetski World Championship at the end of November on Lake Toba.
This event will be attended by around 40 racers from more than 18 countries. They consist of around 30 international racers and 10 Indonesian racers.
“We fully support Injourney which is currently the organizer of the 2023 Aquabike Jetski World Championship event. Different from the previous F1 Powerboat event, this event will be held in four districts in the Lake Toba area,” said Daily Executive Secretary to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Odo R M Manuhutu at the Aquabike Jetski press conference, Tuesday (31/10/2023).
The 2023 Aquabike Jetski World Championship is the second world water racing championship event to be held on Lake Toba, after the F1Powerboat World Championship which was held last February.
The 2023 Aquabike Jetski World Championship event will be held in four districts around Lake Toba, namely Karo Regency, Dairi Regency, Samosir Regency and Toba Regency.
The Union International Mitonautique (UIM) has carried out homolagation procedures and the four regions have been declared worthy of being the location for this racing.
For information, during the five day event which starts on 22 – 26 November 2023, the competition will be divided into two categories, namely the endurance world championship on the first to third days with locations in Karo, Dairi and Samosir districts. All endurance events will be held on a three-kilometer closed circuit with a maximum time limit of one hour.
Meanwhile, the world championship circuit will be held on the fourth and fifth days in Balige, Toba. (AT Network)
