Believing in this great opportunity, Apple is committed to building the Apple Developer Academy in Bali, Batam, Surabaya and South Tangerang. The four academies are said to have invested IDR 1.6 trillion.

“We are opening the 4th developer academy that we just announced, this academy in Bali. We are very happy because these three have graduated thousands of people who are able to create applications for the app store, not only interesting at home, but also abroad. So we’re very excited,” Cook said.

Apart from that, Cook said that President Joko Widodo expressed his desire for Apple to open a factory in Indonesia.

“We talked about the President’s desire to see manufacturing domestically and this is something we will consider,” he said. (ATN)
