Indonesia’s Audit Board Announces Readiness to Host the 26th INCOSAI in Bali

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) Chairperson Isma Yatun during the second plenary session of the 25th INCOSAI in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Friday October 31, 2025. Special

ASIATODAY.ID, SHARM EL-SHEIKH – The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) has officially announced Indonesia’s readiness to host the 26th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) in 2028, which will be held in Bali. The announcement was made by BPK Chairperson Isma Yatun during the second plenary session of the 25th INCOSAI in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Friday October 31, 2025.

INCOSAI is the premier global congress for supreme audit institutions, organized every three years by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), and attended by SAIs from 195 countries.

Chairperson Isma Yatun expressed appreciation to the Accountability State Authority of Egypt (Egyptian SAI) for successfully hosting the 25th INCOSAI and affirmed BPK’s commitment to delivering an innovative, inspiring, and meaningful 26th INCOSAI.

“We are dedicated to creating a congress that is impactful and memorable—a platform that showcases the spirit of collaboration and shared learning among the global audit community,” said Isma Yatun.

She added that the principles of resilience, togetherness, and wisdom, central to Indonesia’s national identity, will guide the organization of the 26th INCOSAI in Bali. The event is expected to be a key opportunity for INTOSAI members to strengthen collaboration, drive innovation, and reinforce accountability as a pillar of good governance.

Hosting the congress will not only enhance Indonesia’s international presence but also provide positive economic benefits, particularly through tourism growth and local community participation.

The INCOSAI in Egypt also marked a strategic milestone for Indonesia within INTOSAI. BPK was elected as First Vice-Chair for the 2025–2028 period, alongside Egyptian SAI as Chair and Saudi Arabian SAI as Second Vice-Chair. This position will involve active engagement in INTOSAI bodies, including the Governing Board (GB), Policy, Finance, and Administration Committee (PFAC), Supervisory Committee on Emerging Issues (SCEI), Professional Standards Committee (PSC), and the Network of INTOSAI Communication Officers (NICO).

These achievements highlight BPK’s commitment to active international engagement—not only as host of INCOSAI 2028 and First Vice-Chair of INTOSAI (2025–2028), and future Chair (2028–2031)—but also as a proactive partner contributing to the growth and solidarity of the global audit community.
