The company leaders are members of the Suzhou Hunan Business Association. On this occasion, Ariastuty welcomed the investment plans of dozens of companies from China.

As is known, at the beginning of Batam’s development the manufacturing industry became the main support for the economy. Thus, this export-oriented industry with high economic value continues to be developed by BP Batam.

“This is in accordance with our commitment to continue to improve the economy of Batam City, which will have an impact on the welfare of the community,” he said after the meeting.

He continued, BP Batam will certainly open up as many investment opportunities as possible from this Chinese company. This is because China is the second largest investment contributor to Batam City after Singapore. Where in 2023, China recorded an investment of $46.42 million with 137 projects in Batam City.

“So when these investors come to Batam, they want to know the regulations for investing in Batam City, regarding labor, and regarding people entering and exiting at the immigration gate,” he said.

Meanwhile, BP Batam’s Director of Goods Traffic and Investment, Surya Kurniawan Suhari welcomed this meeting. According to him, Batam City is a strategic area for investing investment capital.

“We hope that their investment can be realized as soon as possible,” he concluded. (ATN)
