ASIATODAY.ID, DENPASAR – Bali has once again confirmed its position as the world’s best tourist destination by winning the title of The Best Island in Asia Pacific in the DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2025.

This award was received by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Indonesia, Ni Luh Puspa, at an event held at the Ayana Resort Hotel Jimbaran, Friday, March 7, 2025.

“Thank you for choosing Bali as The Best Island. This shows that Bali is still top of mind for tourists to travel to Indonesia,” said Ni Luh.

Bali is ranked first, ahead of the Maldives, Boracay (Philippines), Phuket (Thailand), Phu Quoc (Vietnam), Palawan (Philippines), Koh Samui (Thailand), Langkawi (Malaysia), Penang (Malaysia), and Lombok (Indonesia).

Ni Luh dedicated this award to the Balinese people, the local government, and all tourism industry players who have maintained the natural beauty, cultural richness, and tourist attractions of Bali.

She hopes that this award can inspire other tourist destinations in Indonesia to continue to improve to become better.

“Hopefully this achievement can also be an inspiration for all of us to continue to advance the tourism industry, and introduce other extraordinary Indonesian destinations to the world,” said Ni Luh.

The Indonesian government is committed to developing quality and sustainable tourism, by involving the community, local government, and industry.

“Let’s join hands to develop and advance Indonesian tourism,” added Ni Luh.

The DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards is an annual event that gives awards to the tourism industry in the Asia Pacific region. This award is chosen directly by loyal readers of DestinAsian Magazine and has been running for the past 18 years. (AT Network)
