ASIATODAY.ID, BALI – International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Asia Pacific (IAAPA APAC) Spring Summit 2024 was held at Bali Safari Park, Gianyar, Bali, Thursday, March 7 2024.
The meeting, which was attended by attractions and amusement park industry players from various Asia Pacific countries, discussed the development of the attractions, recreation, nature industry and sustainable operational activities.
“IAAPA is interesting that the whole world is gathering in Indonesia, especially in Bali to discuss the future of the tourism industry, especially recreational parks, zoos, and so on,” said the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno when speaking at the forum.
Sandiaga said that there are still many recreational parks that do not focus on security aspects, so it is still possible for undesirable things to happen.
Therefore, this forum plays an important role in increasing education about safety, operational and sustainability standards in the attractions industry, as well as providing valuable insights and resources for its members.
“I want this opportunity to be used and followed by the presence of recreational parks that can educate, provide entertainment, and also provide benefits to the local economy, opening up business opportunities and employment opportunities,” said Sandiaga.
Sandiaga said that IAAPA participants had the opportunity to watch the first underwater theatrical performance in Indonesia, Varuna, which was followed by a Safari Journey, around the Bali Safari Park to get a closer look at various animals in their natural habitat.
He also appreciated Varuna’s presence at the Indonesian Safari Park which provided added value to Bali tourism, thereby attracting international attention.
“I express my appreciation for the presence of Varuna, which was built during the pandemic. “We dedicate this Varuna to tourism in Bali and Indonesia,” said Sandiaga. (ATN)
