ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Brunei Darussalam Investor Consortium is committed to investing in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) worth $300-450 million.
The commitment to invest in IKN was conveyed by Prince Anak Putri Hajjah Amal Rakiah, younger brother of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, when leading a delegation of investors to meet the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Assaara Guest House in Bandar Seri Begawan on Saturday, January 13 2024.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei, Achmad Ubaedillah, said that the investment commitment in IKN was handed over by Putri Amal Rakiah to the Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono and witnessed directly by President Jokowi.
In its investment commitment in IKN, the Ryada Holding Investment Group Company as the Investment Consortium has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for two housing projects worth $300-450 million.
At the meeting with Putri Amal Rakiah, President Jokowi appreciated and expressed his gratitude for the commitment of the Brunei Investor Consortium to invest in IKN and invited investors to see firsthand the progress of IKN development.
At the meeting, Prince Anak Putri Hajjah Amal Rakiah was accompanied by the Executive Director of Redcon Construction and Ryada Holding Investment Group, Mohamed Al Hadidy, Al Sulaimini Executive Consultant Muteeb Al Mansoor as well as other personal assistants and business partners.
Meanwhile President Jokowi was accompanied by Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir, Head of IKN Bambang Susantono, member of the Presidential Advisory Council, Gandi Sulistiyanto Suherman and Ambassador Ubaedillah.
Meanwhile, President Jokowi’s arrival in Bandar Seri Begawan was welcomed by the Minister of Defense II, Major General Pehin Halbi bin Mohd. Yussof, Chief of the Royal Brunei Police Force Mohammad Irwan bin Hambali, Head of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Major General Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Ambassador Ubaedillah and Defense Attaché Colonel Arm. Doddy Suhadiman.
