ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Criminal Investigation Agency, National Police of the Republic of Indonesia arrested SZ, a Chinese citizen who was the perpetrator of a case of fraud and human trafficking.

Deputy Director for Cyber ​​Crime at the Criminal Investigation Agency, National Police of the Republic of Indonesia, Kombes Dani Kustoni, said SZ was arrested in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) when he was about to escape.

“We picked up a suspect in the Middle East with the initials SZ,” he said Thursday, June 27 2024.

Currently, SZ has been handed over by the NCB Interpol Abu Dhabi and is undergoing examination at the Criminal Investigation Agency, National Police of the Republic of Indonesia.

Meanwhile, SZ has deceived a total of 800 victims, all of whom are Indonesian citizens.

The police have not detailed the cases of fraud and human trafficking carried out by SZ. Dani just provided information that the suspect SZ was the intellectual actor of the other suspects.

“We have previously arrested the suspect, so this is the most important thing we are taking,” he said. (ATN)
