ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA — Angelique Verina’s name is fast gaining attention among Indonesia’s creative economy circles.
Born in Napa, California, USA, on December 22, Angelique was officially inaugurated as the Chairperson of the World Young Creative Economy of Indonesia (DEKRAFMI) on October 15, 2025—marking a new era for Indonesia’s next generation of creative industry leaders.
A mother of one, Angelique is widely recognized as a visionary young entrepreneur with resilience, compassion, and a strong social spirit. Under her leadership, DEKRAFMI is expected to become a driving force for regional economic growth while strengthening synergy with national government programs.
Building the Nation through Creativity
Under Angelique’s stewardship, DEKRAFMI now boasts 92 officials at the Central Executive Board (DPP), 27 Provincial Boards (DPD), and 50 District Boards (DPC) across Indonesia.
Operating under the guidance of the Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf), all DEKRAFMI programs are designed to support the vision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia—to enhance public welfare through the creative economy sector.
“Our primary motivation in establishing DEKRAFMI is to strengthen people’s economic foundations, reduce poverty, create new jobs, and act as an extension of the government at the local level,” Angelique said passionately on Monday, October 27, 2025.
