ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – German medical device company Beurer is strengthening its expansion in Indonesia by introducing a practical, drug-free solution for menstrual pain relief through its Menstrual Relax device.

Managing Director of PT Beurer Healthcare and Wellbeing Indonesia, Aria Verdin, said the Menstrual Relax combines Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) technology to help reduce pain, along with heat therapy that delivers a soothing and relaxing effect.

“This solution can be used anytime when needed, with a maximum duration of 30 minutes,” Aria said in Jakarta on Sunday, April 26, 2016.

The device is available in two models, EM50 and EM55, designed to help relieve menstrual pain as well as pain caused by Endometriosis without the use of medication.

Both models feature a flexible and soft design that adapts to the body, ensuring comfort during various activities. The device is also user-friendly, operated with a single button, suitable for use at home or on the go, and equipped with an LED indicator to monitor battery status.

Aria expressed hope that this innovation will help women feel more comfortable and confident in carrying out their daily activities.

Meanwhile, obstetrician and gynecologist Fita Maulina noted that menstrual pain is a common condition among women, and in some cases may be linked to endometriosis.

She emphasized that parental education and family support are crucial, especially for those experiencing menstruation for the first time, to help them manage the condition more comfortably.

She added that menstruation is a natural process involving the shedding of the uterine lining, occurring every 21 to 35 days and lasting between two to seven days.

However, many women experience pain that can disrupt daily activities, making proper management and mental well-being essential to maintaining a stable cycle. (Silvia Andriani)
