“The victim has not been at his accommodation in Senaru, North Lombok since August 30 2024 and is thought to have disappeared while climbing,” he said.
Previously, Bayan Sector Police Chief Iptu I Wayan Cipta Naya in North Lombok said the victim was suspected of leaving to illegally climb Mount Rinjani. A search team has been formed together with joint forces, with searches at several location points, including the Senaru-Plawangan Senaru route (Radius ± 7KM), Plawangan Senaru-Sangkareang Route (Radius + 2KM), Plawangan Senaru – Batu Ceper Route (Radius 2KM) and Plawangan Senaru route – Santong route (Radius ± 3KM).
The victim is estimated to have climbed on August 30 2024 at around 04.00 WITA in the morning because the victim had told his colleagues that he was climbing via WhatsApp chat.
