ASIATODAY.ID, BEIJING – The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held the 15th Diplomatic Consultation Meeting of Senior Officials from Indonesia – China in Xiamen, Fujian Province on February 3 2024.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Asia Pacific and Africa, Abdul Kadir Jailani together with the Indonesian Ambassador to Beijing, Djauhari Oratmangun, the Indonesian Consulate General Guangzhou, Ben Perkasa Drajat, and the Director of East Asia at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Meanwhile, the Chinese Foreign Ministry delegation was led by Chinese Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nong Rong.
Abdul Kadir Jailani underlined the rapid development of bilateral relations between the two countries and Indonesia’s commitment to advancing a comprehensive strategic partnership with China through mutually beneficial practical cooperation.
The two parties also agreed on the concrete implementation of the cooperation agreement that had been reached at the Head of State/Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs level meeting in 2023 as well as intensifying people-to-people relations between the two countries through dialogue, mutual visits and exchanges.
Apart from the issue of bilateral cooperation from various aspects, cooperation in the context of ASEAN with China, regional and multilateral areas was also discussed.
The 14th Diplomatic Consultation Meeting of senior Indonesian and Chinese officials was previously held in July 2023 in Jakarta. (AT Network)
