Indonesia Condemns Terrorist Attacks in Moscow Russia

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs firmly condemns the terrorist attack that occurred in Moscow, Russia, on Friday, March 22 2024.

Spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lalu Muhamad Iqbal, said that Indonesia expressed its condolences over the incident.

“Indonesia condemns the terrorist attack that occurred at Moscow Crocus City Hall on March 22 2024 which has left dozens of people dead and hundreds of people injured,” he said, in an official statement, on Saturday, March 23 2024.

He expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the victims and families of the victims of the incident in Moscow.

“Indonesia expresses its deepest condolences and sympathy to the victim and his family. So far there are no Indonesian citizen victims,” ​​he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Protection of Indonesian Citizens, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, emphasized that the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow is currently coordinating regarding the incident, and there is no information yet about any Indonesian victims.

“The Indonesian Embassy in Moscow immediately coordinated with local authorities and established communication with the Indonesian community in Russia. Until now there has been no indication that any Indonesian citizens have become victims,” ​​he said.

Judha emphasized that Russian security forces have and will continue to carry out strict security inspections after the incident.

Apart from that, the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow has also issued an appeal to the Indonesian people to increase their vigilance and immediately contact the Indonesian Embassy hotline if they experience an emergency situation.

As is known, currently data obtained from Russian authorities shows that the death toll reached 60 people and more than 100 people were injured, as of Saturday, March 23 2024. (ATN)
