ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesian Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan released the export of 8 containers of nexalume, nexium and nexcolor steel products produced by PT Tata Metal Lestari to Australia, Canada and Puerto Rico from Purwakarta, West Java, Friday, 21 June 2024. Value This steel product reached US$195 thousand.
The release of steel exports produced by PT Tata Metal Lestari is a real collaboration between the government and business actors. This is aimed at encouraging increased performance of Indonesia’s non-oil and gas exports, including increasing exports of Indonesian steel products to global markets.
The Ministry of Trade continues to encourage the opening of market access for Indonesian products to trading partner countries, one of which is Australia and Canada, which are export destination countries for PT Tata Metal Lestari. With Australia, Indonesia already has an Indonesia-Australia CEPA trade agreement, while the Indonesia-Canada CEPA is currently in the negotiation stage with Canada.
“The release of steel exports to Canada and Australia is the right momentum in response to the increasing demand for Canadian and Australian steel, by 16.94% and 14.72% respectively in the last 5 years,” said Zulkifli Hasan.
He appreciated PT Tata Metal Lestari for continuing to be active in exploiting export market opportunities and diversifying export markets. This is done by prioritizing the principles of green and sustainable industry in order to increase the competitiveness of steel products in the global market. (AT Network)
