ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in his first speech emphasized that Indonesia adheres to a free, active and non-aligned foreign policy, and does not want to join any military pact.

Indonesia has chosen the path of being friendly with all countries, and will carry out foreign policy by being good neighbors with any country.

“In facing the international world, Indonesia chooses a free, active, non-aligned path, we do not want to join any military pacts, we choose a path of friendship with all countries. “I have repeatedly proclaimed that Indonesia will carry out foreign policy as a country that wants to be a good neighbor, we want to be a good neighbor,” he said, in his first speech, Sunday, October 20 2024.

Prabowo continued that Indonesia adheres to the philosophy of “a thousand friends are too few, one opponent is too many.” That way, Indonesia will become friends with all countries.

Prabowo also emphasized that Indonesia adheres to anti-colonial principles because it has experienced colonialism and is anti-oppression because it has been oppressed.

“We are anti-racism, anti-apartheid because we have experienced being colonized. We are even classified as lower than dogs, many inscriptions and marble boards on which are called honden en inlander verboden. “I still see the inscription at the Manggarai swimming pool in 78. That’s why we have the principle that we must stand in solidarity to defend the oppressed people in this world,” he said.
