ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – International flight schedules at Soekarno-Hatta international airport experienced delays after the Indonesian National Data Center was down due to being attacked by a ransomware virus.
Corporate Secretary Group Head of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Rahadian D. Yogisworo, revealed that international flights were delayed when the immigration system experienced problems starting Thursday, June 20 2024. The delay time ranged from 30 minutes to 45 minutes from the initial schedule.
Rahadian did not specify in detail the number of flight schedules that experienced delays since the National Data Center server disruption occurred. However, he said, the number of delays was not significant.
“The number of delays is not that significant compared to the total flight schedule for existing international routes,” said Rahadian, Monday, June 24 2024.
He said that currently the conditions in immigration inspection queues at airports managed by InJourney Airports are normal. This condition has occurred since Saturday, June 22 2024 afternoon.
Based on monitoring results in the field, he said, the autogate facilities at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali have started to function normally.
However, Rahadian said that his party was still preparing anticipatory steps to prevent queues from occurring again, including setting up manual inspection counters.
“Queue conditions are running normally. However, we can also convey that the immigration manual inspection counter is still open,” said Rahadian. (ATN)
