ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian government has completed the construction of 195 national strategic projects from 2016 to February 2024.
The Coordinating Minister for the Indonesian Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that these projects were being built with a total investment value of IDR 1,519 trillion.
“Cumulatively from 2016 to February 2024, 195 national strategic projects have been completed and are fully operational, with a value of IDR 1,519 trillion. “Meanwhile, 77 projects and 13 projects in the construction or partial production or partial operation stages have a value of IDR 2,960.7 trillion,” said Airlangga in a press statement at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, Monday, March 18 2024.
This year, said Airlangga, the government is targeting to complete the construction of 41 projects, with details of 5 projects targeted for completion in the January-March period, 24 projects in the April-September period, and 12 projects in the October-December period.
“From the 36 projects completed from April to December, there were various issues reported, especially related to land acquisition and spatial planning, and until the end of 2024 support from all stakeholders is needed,” he said.
During the limited meeting with President Joko Widodo, said Airlangga, the construction of 14 new projects, all of which would be financed by the private sector, was also discussed.
Airlangga emphasized that the construction of this project would trigger job creation for the community.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono emphasized the importance of providing clean and clear land related to the development of these projects.
“The principle is that we want the development of this project to run smoothly, progressively, the faster the better, but we also have to make sure that there are no problems in the future. “So, the status must be clean and clear for the land to be used,” said Agus. (AT Network)
