ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK 2) National Strategic Project (PSN) initiated by the Agung Sedayu Group is being reviewed by the government. The reason is, PSN is still problematic.
According to the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the Indonesian National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid, PSN PIK2 still has a series of problems from the land aspect so it is considered not in accordance with the development plan.
“After we checked PIK 2, the provincial Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) was not in accordance with the Regency/City RTRW,” said Nusron in his office, Thursday, November 28 2024.
Apart from that, the Tourism PSN called Tropical Coastland which is located at PIK 2 also currently does not have a Detailed Spatial Planning Plan (RDTR).
Another problem, said Nusron, is that the development of this project intersects with protected forest areas. Of the total development area of 1,700 hectares, 1,500 hectares of which are protected forest areas.
“Of the 1,705 hectares of the area, 1,500 hectares are protected forest areas. Currently, the protected forest has not had its status reduced from protected forest to conversion forest, from conversion forest to Other Use Area (APL). Not at all,” he stressed.
Due to this series of problems, Nusron admitted that until now it has not been able to issue recommendations for the Suitability of Space Utilization Activities (KKPR). His party will carry out a review to address this problem.
“We are currently reviewing whether we will make a recommendation or not,” he concluded.
For your information, the development of the Green Area and Eco-City at the PSN PIK 2 location in Banten Province is one of the 14 new PSNs approved by Jokowi in an Internal Meeting at the State Palace on Monday, March 18 2024.
