ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will pay a state visit to Beijing, China on 8 – 10 November 2024 at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.
Quoted from MOFA, Wednesday, November 6, during a visit to Beijing, President Prabowo will meet with President Xi Jinping and other top Chinese leaders.
Prabowo’s visit to China has an important meaning in the commitment to strengthen Indonesia and China’s comprehensive strategic partnership in various fields.
Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying stated that President Prabowo’s visit was aimed at pushing China-Indonesia relations to a new level.
“China is ready to work with Indonesia to use this visit as an opportunity to consolidate high-level political mutual trust,” said Mao Ning at a regular press conference.
Xi Jinping will hold a welcoming ceremony for the Indonesian leader and the two will hold talks.
Prabowo will also meet Prime Minister Li Qiang and number three official Zhao Leji.
Prabowo, who has been president since October 20 2024, promised to stick to a traditionally non-partisan foreign policy and make Indonesia play a more active role on the global stage. (AT Network)
