Putin Congratulates Prabowo Subianto, Elected President of Indonesia

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia who was elected with a convincing victory in the 2024 elections.

TASS reported, Friday, February 16 2024, Putin sent his congratulations via a greeting telegram published on the Kremlin website.

“To Mr Prabowo Subianto, please accept my sincere congratulations on your convincing victory in the presidential election. Indonesia-Russia relations are based on a good tradition of friendship and mutual respect and are successfully developing in various fields,” wrote Putin.

Putin further believes that presidential candidate number 2 will make an important contribution when occupying the number one position in Indonesia. Prabowo will be able to contribute to further developing Russian-Indonesian cooperation for the benefit of the citizens of both countries. Including to strengthen security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

“I count on constructive dialogue with you and fruitful cooperation on topical issues on the bilateral and international agenda,” concluded the Russian leader.

Putin’s congratulations add to a series of confessions sent by a number of world heads of state.
