Savage! Indonesian Hospital in Gaza Used as Israeli Military Headquarters

Indonesian Hospital in Gaza. Doc Mer-C

ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – The Israeli military has been criticized by the public for using the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza as a military headquarters.

Chairman of the MER-C Presidium, Sarbini Abdul Murad, said that the Israeli military’s actions were very barbaric because they used the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza as a base to attack Palestinian fighters in the North.

“MER-C condemns the dirty methods used by Israel by using the Indonesian Hospital as a headquarters, as a fortress, and is doing it to attack Palestinian fighters in the North,” he said in a press conference, Wednesday, December 20 2023.

He explained that the Israeli military used the Indonesian Hospital as a shield, in the hope that it would be impossible for Hamas to attack with weapons of war the Israeli shelter at the Indonesian Hospital.

“We ask Israel to return to military rules, international rules by making the hospital a neutral place, a place where there is no fighting, where we are very angry because they have made this hospital their shield,” he said.

Furthermore, he said that the current condition of the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza was very sad.

“So Israel’s efforts to destroy this hospital have almost reached zero with the goal that the North should be empty and in the future it is possible that other hospitals will be used as their shield and base in the North,” he added.

On that occasion, he expressed his hope that the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza would be restored to its function of treating health.

“We also remind WHO to send their team to investigate so that bad things or incidents don’t happen to the people of Gaza,” he said.

Previously, Sarbini said that about 2 weeks ago Israel placed its troops at the Indonesian Hospital as a base and place of refuge. In fact, Israel previously alleged that there was a Hamas tunnel under the Indonesian Hospital.

“Previously they accused Hamas of being a base there and now they are deploying troops as a shield against Hamas attacks,” he said.

Previously, several Gaza residents worked together to clean the Indonesian Hospital in the hope that it could be used again, but now Israel has stationed its troops there. (AT Network)
