ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Digital travel platform Agoda reveals tourist destinations in Asia with the most affordable average accommodation rates.
Destinations with the lowest average accommodation rates in eight Asian markets include Udon Thani in Thailand, Surabaya in Indonesia, Hue in Vietnam, Kuching in Malaysia, Iloilo in the Philippines, Bengaluru in India, Narita in Japan, and Kaohsiung in Taiwan.
Despite being tourist destinations with the most affordable average room rates, these researched locations have a lot for visitors to enjoy.
“With many tourists across Asia looking forward to upcoming national holidays such as Songkran, Eid al-Fitr and Golden Week, April and May are the perfect time to plan a holiday. It’s Agoda’s mission to help travelers see the world at a more affordable price , and there is no better way to do it than to provide a list of the cheapest tourist destinations right when the popular holiday season arrives,” said Agoda Indonesia Senior Country Director, Gede Gunawan, in a written statement quoted on Thursday, April 4 2024.
The following are some interesting things from the eight cheapest destinations in the markets that have been researched.
- Udon Thani, Thailand (Average room rate: IDR 444 thousand)
Udon Thani is one of the ‘big four’ cities in the Isaan region, Thailand that is well worth a visit. There is always something to do in this bustling city, especially at Nong Prajak Park and the surrounding lake.
