ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Viking is launching a program of three new cruise and land tours in China this year.
The tour lasts 10 to 20 days with stops in several popular cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
These three cruise tours will operate from September to November 2024 with Viking Yi Dun, formerly known as Viking Sun.
Viking Yi Dun will be the first Viking ship dedicated to overseas markets. This ship has 465 cabins that can accommodate up to 930 guests. Inside there is a Nordic spa, several restaurants, an outdoor gym and yoga area, as well as an infinity pool.
The purpose-built Viking Yi Dundi ships offer a variety of cabins for Travelers’ choice, from Veranda Staterooms to a variety of amenities and extras in the spacious Explorer Suites. And whichever cabin is chosen, it is beautifully designed in the simple elegance that is the Viking signature.
Chairman of Viking Cruises, Torstein Hagen, said that many tourists are curious and interested in experiences to broaden their horizons. One thing that inspires tourists is China, a country that has the richest culture in the world.
Hargen said the Yangtze River cruise has been among the highest-rated itineraries in more than 15 years.
Tourists will travel along the Yangtze River in China, then visit Beijing, the Great Wall, the Terra Cotta Warriors, and visit many other iconic places in this charming country.
“Now, we are thrilled to offer such encounters once again with a new journey to a destination that never ceases to amaze the imagination,” he told Travel+Leisure.
In addition to major cities, the new tour will feature domestic cruises along the coast of China. Then to sites like Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To celebrate these new cruises, Viking is offering free international airfare and a US$25 deposit on all river, ocean and expedition cruises, including new itineraries to China. This offer is valid before January 31, 2024. (ATN)
