ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA — The Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office official to auction a state-confiscated property consisting of the MT Arman 114 tanker, flagged in Iran, along with its cargo, on 2 December 2025 through the State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) Batam.
Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, S.H., M.H., explained in a written statement that the tanker to be auctioned is registered under the name of convict Mahmoud Mohamed Abdelaziz Mohamed Hatiba, based on the Batam District Court ruling Number 941/Pid.Sus/2023/PN.Btm dated 10 July 2024.
According to the Legal Information Center, the auction package consists of the MT Arman 114 tanker, flagged in Iran with IMO number 9116412, built in 1997 in South Korea, and its cargo of Light Crude Oil with a volume of 166,975.36 metric tons, equivalent to 1,245,166.9 barrels, which is included in the auction package.
“The tanker is currently located in the waters of Batu Ampar, Batu Merah Subdistrict, Batu Ampar District, Batam City, Riau Islands Province,” the statement said on Wednesday, 26 November 2025.
In this auction process, the BPA and KPKNL Batam have set a total reserve price of IDR 1,174,503,193,400, equivalent to approximately USD 78.3 million. Interested participants are required to deposit an auction guarantee of IDR 118 billion, or about USD 7.9 million, to take part in the bidding. (AT Network)
