ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – IPB University has once again earned international recognition through its groundbreaking digital innovation.
At the ASEAN-Korea Digital Business Partnership Forum 2025, held at the Fairmont Hotel Jakarta on June 10, the university received a prestigious award for its ePub 3.0—an advanced interactive digital book developed by IPB Press, the university’s official publishing arm.
Notably, IPB Press was the only university press participating in the high-profile forum, which brought together digital industry leaders from South Korea and Southeast Asian nations.
Developed in collaboration with South Korean tech company Arasoft, ePub 3.0 integrates text, audio, video, and simulation into a single dynamic platform. This technology delivers a more interactive, inclusive, and adaptive digital learning experience, revolutionizing how knowledge is accessed and absorbed.
“Our goal at IPB Press is to provide high-quality and accessible educational content. With ePub 3.0, we’re not only increasing efficiency but also expanding inclusive access to knowledge,” said Erick Wahyudyono, Director of IPB Press.
Global Recognition for Cross-Border Educational Innovation
The award was received by Luhur Budiyarso, Director of PT Bogor Life Science and Technology (BLST), the holding company of IPB University. He emphasized that the collaboration between IPB Press and Arasoft exemplifies impactful global synergy in educational technology.
“Our presence at this forum reflects the commitment of university-owned enterprises to foster global collaboration in digital education. IPB Press is more than a publisher—it is a catalyst for knowledge transformation,” Luhur stated.
South Korea Backs ASEAN’s Digital Potential
Park Yunkyu, President of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) of South Korea, expressed strong support for deepening digital cooperation across the region.
“Countries like Indonesia hold tremendous potential in digital development. I am optimistic that Korea-ASEAN partnerships will continue to flourish,” he said during the forum.
The event marked a significant moment in strengthening cooperation in information technology, digital education, and the creative industry. Over 30 South Korean tech and creative companies—including B4PLAY, DNBSOFT, Brainworks, MetaVu, and Bionutrion—participated in the forum to explore strategic partnerships with counterparts from across Southeast Asia.
