ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud congratulated the elected Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto after the General Election Commission released the results of the 2024 Presidential Election.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that King Salman sent a message to Prabowo, on Thursday, March 21 2024.
“In his message, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques conveyed his sincere congratulations to Prabowo Subianto, wishing him success and the Indonesian friendly community becoming more advanced and prosperous,” King Salman said as quoted by SPA.
King Salman also praised the good relations between the two countries and people.
He also hopes that Indonesia and Saudi will try to strengthen cooperative relations in all fields.
A number of heads of state also congratulated Prabowo. They include Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Chinese President Xi Jinping, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkiye President, Erdogan including Ukrainian President Zelensky.
These words from world leaders appeared when Prabowo won the presidential election this time.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian General Election Commission has announced that Prabowo-Gibran won the Presidential Election with 96,214,691 valid votes or around 58 percent.
Meanwhile, another pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar won 40,971,906 votes or around 25 percent and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD got 27,040,878 or 16.5 percent of the valid votes. (ATN)
