ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Mukhtara Air has officially welcomed the arrival of its first aircraft, an Airbus A320, which landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta after flying in from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

This milestone marks the beginning of Mukhtara Air’s operational journey as a new airline under Manazil Al Mukhtara Company Holding, a Madinah-based corporation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In addition to its headquarters located at the CBC (City Business Center) Office Complex near Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Mukhtara Air has established representative offices in several major Indonesian cities, including Medan, Surabaya, and Bali. This network is part of the airline’s strategy to strengthen its operational presence and service coverage.

The welcoming ceremony took place at the Jetset Lounge and featured a traditional water salute and flower-garlanding ceremony for the crew, symbolizing the inauguration of Mukhtara Air’s first fleet.

Mukhtara Air Chairman, Sami Al Harbi, emphasized that the airline’s presence reflects a significant investment in Indonesia by Manazil Al Mukhtara Company, long recognized as a leading institution in Hajj, Umrah, and hospitality services in Madinah.

“Mukhtara Air represents our major investment commitment in Indonesia, and we aim to deliver world-class full-service standards for both pilgrims and general passengers,” said Saudi national Sami Al Harbi, on November 28, 2025 .

Mukhtara Air Managing Director, Winarso, explained that the airline will operate two aircraft types: the Airbus A320 and Airbus A330.

The Airbus A330 will serve international routes such as Madinah and Makkah, with planned expansion to Thaif in the near future.

The Airbus A320 will operate domestic routes and function as a feeder for international flights.

“Mukhtara Air will operate an extensive range of domestic routes to strengthen connectivity between feeder airports and our international network,” Winarso added.

The first Airbus A320 arriving in Jakarta features a 152-seat configuration, consisting of 8 business class seats and 144 economy class seats, delivering premium comfort aligned with full-service standards for passengers across different segments.

The welcoming event was attended by the Board of Directors of Mukhtara Air, including: Sami Marzooq Alharbi, President Director, Sulaiman Kannu Nazeer, Vice President Director, Winarso, Managing Director, Winarko, Business Development Director, Capt. Andik Setiawan, Operations Director, Rhino Andika Dekritanto, Maintenance Director, Perbowoadi, Safety, Security & Quality Director.
