He underscored that governments must foster stable, transparent, and predictable economic environments to help businesses invest for the long term and innovate with confidence.

“Global economic resilience can only be achieved when nations remain committed to open and fair trade systems while reinforcing their own industrial capabilities,” Lin said quoted on November 3, 2025.

Lin also outlined Taiwan’s successful semiconductor ecosystem model, driven by deliberate government policies, close collaboration between the public and private sectors, the development of high-tech industrial parks, tax incentives, and talent cultivation programs. This comprehensive approach has drawn strong interest from many APEC members seeking to learn from Taiwan’s experience.

Taiwan’s presence at APEC 2025 was not merely diplomatic participation—it was a strategic opportunity to showcase Taiwan’s tangible contributions to the global economic system. Through a series of bilateral meetings and dialogues, Taiwan reaffirmed its role as a key player in the global technology and semiconductor supply network.

Meanwhile, National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Chairman Wu Cheng-wen confirmed a cordial interaction with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM) welcome dinner.

Wu expressed optimism that the friendly exchange would help strengthen Taiwan–U.S. cooperation in semiconductor development, enhance economic relations, and promote greater people-to-people exchange in the future.

By engaging actively at the APEC Summit 2025, Taiwan reaffirmed its commitment to building a robust, innovative, and competitive global supply chain, contributing significantly to economic stability and technological advancement across the Asia-Pacific region. (AT Network)
