ASIATODAY.ID, JAKARTA – Entering its 12th year, POCARI SWEAT Run continues to grow, bringing a fresh experience to running enthusiasts by expanding to a new destination, Lombok. Scheduled for September 14, 2025, POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2025 will take place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, offering a unique racecourse that sets it apart from other running events in Indonesia.

The POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2025 press conference, held at Hutan Kota by Plataran Senayan, Jakarta, was attended by key figures including Dito Ariotedjo, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia; Raffi Ahmad, Special Presidential Staff for Youth Development and Creative Workers; Zita Anjani, Special Presidential Staff for Tourism; Maya Watono, President Director of InJourney; Nagita Slavina, CEO of RANS; and Puspita Winawati, Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka.

Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, Wina, shared her excitement about this expansion, “Bandung has always been a special place for runners. However, we want to continue making a meaningful contribution, not just in promoting a healthier lifestyle, but also in supporting Indonesia’s tourism sector through sports events. With the full support of the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and InJourney, we are thrilled to bring POCARI SWEAT Run to Lombok for the first time.”

Launching POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2025. Special

Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, emphasized the importance of this event in fostering new talent. “The Ministry fully supports the POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2025, as it serves as a great platform for emerging runners. We hope this event inspires and nurtures new athletes who can compete at a higher level,” said Dito.

Special Presidential Staff for Tourism, Zita Anjani, highlighted the impact of the event: “POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok is a perfect example of how sports events can significantly contribute to sport tourism. By attracting thousands of participants and visitors, this event will help boost the local economy and position Lombok as a must-visit destination.”

An estimated 7,000 runners will take part in POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2025, competing in the marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 4.3K categories, with the 4.3K race covering one full lap around the circuit. Maya Watono, President Director of InJourney highlighted, “The Mandalika Circuit is a source of national pride, featuring world class asphalt designed specifically to adapt to Lombok’s climate. This ensures that runners can enjoy an exciting experience while racing on a track with one of the most stunning views in the world.”

Beyond the race itself, the event will also provide shuttle services and free tickets for participants to explore some of Lombok’s top tourist attractions, making it a well-rounded experience beyond just running.

Special Presidential Staff for Youth Development and Creative Workers, Raffi Ahmad, also expressed his full support for POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2025, emphasizing its role in promoting a healthier society. “The high enthusiasm among young people for participating in healthy activities like this can create a positive impact, encouraging the entire community to be more active and engaged in fitness-focused events like this run.”

“RANS is honored to be the media partner for POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2025. We hope to showcase the beauty of Lombok to a wider audience across Indonesia,” said Nagita Slavina, CEO of RANS.

Aligned with Otsuka’s vision to create a positive impact on society, POCARI SWEAT Run Lombok 2025 will also raise awareness about environmental sustainability. “We are integrating educational programs and direct environmental actions into the event, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism’s Clean Tourism Movement. We will work together with runners and local communities to ensure this is a zero waste to landfill event,” concluded Wina.
